Job Profile

This position has overall responsibility of assuring the effective functioning of all facilities to provide an efficient and safe working environment for staff and their activities by performing a variety of supervisory, administrative, skilled and technical work when necessary, using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to implement the administration strategy of the organization.

This role is responsible for housing internal facilities, coordinating with relevant authorities and service providers to facilitate WVL’s internal administration support so as to keep office up & running to support operations. The Co-ordinator also will have to ensure efficiency, staff satisfaction and cost efficiency.

Major Responsibilities

  • Administers and Steers all aspects of facility Management with cost efficiency , staff satisfaction and performance, ensuring expected quality standards.

  • Ensures that departmental strategic planning aligns with the organization’s goals to contribute toward shared responsibility with stewardship, value addition, and cost containment without compromising staff motivation.

  • Strategically liaise internally with all departments offices and management to host events, receive visitors, organize foreign travel & VISA and solicit Contract agreements with due care.

  • Discharge of duties at the time of emergencies and under changing circumstances

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • A Degree in Business Administration or Commerce

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Office Administration (preferably in a supervisory level).

  • Experience in liaising with Government and local authorities is an added advantage.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Sinhala and/or Tamil preferred.

  • Critical thinker

  • Good Interpersonal skills and able to work in a team
