We are currently looking for qualified and experienced project staff for a Gender & Disability inclusive Economic Development Grant funded iLIVE Project which aims to promote economic empowerment and social change by helping Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and vulnerable women in achieving sustainable livelihood & income generation opportunities. The project will work closely with all implementing partners, National & Provincial Government authorities, Disabled People's Organizations (DPO), Producer groups and savings clubs. Funded by the Australian NGO Corporation Programme (ANCP) working in collaboration with World Vision Australia, World Vision Lanka, CBM Australia and Promundo the project will cover Northern & Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka.
Monitoring & Evaluation Officer- ANCP - iLIVE
Locations: To be based in North OR East with travel
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for assisting the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist in overseeing the implementation of the project’s monitoring and evaluation activities, designing M&E frameworks and ensuring compliance of in-program monitoring for Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) Australian and World Vision Lanka(WVL), as well as designing tools for periodic evaluations (Baseline, Annual, Mid-term and End of Projects), assessments to inform project design and producing timely quality reports.
He/She will provide support in training staff, partners and stakeholders in correct data gathering and reporting, manage the indicator monitoring database and project outputs in selected divisions (North /East) The position will also provide support to leadership in compilation, analysis and reporting of data to ensure that reports are submitted on schedule as per donor requirement.
A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Development Studies, Community Development or any relevant professional qualification with independent research work demonstrating the capacity for critical analysis and M&E skills.
At least 02 years’ experience in participatory assessments and monitoring, logical approach, data processing/analysis and result based management or other relevant experience in local or international context
Skills and experience in monitoring and evaluation tools (eg: Knowledge Practice Coverage Quality Assurance Sampling and qualitative research) and statistical software packages such as SPSS.
Good communication skill in English(oral & written) with ability to communicate in Tamil and/or Sinhala preferred
Good MS Office skills and experience using statistical software preferrred
Ability to travel within project areas of operation
Good understanding of current socio, economic & political context of the areas of operation preferred
Knowledge and experience of holistic community development an advantage,
