Location: National Office –Colombo (with extensive travel)
The Internal Auditor will assist the World Vision Lanka (WVL) Internal Audit Manager, in ensuring the effective & efficient functioning of the WVL internal Audit Team, in providing successful audit and advisory services within WVL, maintaining high standards of professional and social ethics. In addition, the position will contribute in implementing the Global Internal Audit(GIA) vision and strategic initiatives at National Office around risk management, governance and internal controls; and ensure compliance to established operational financial and other related accountability standards, policies and procedures at World Vision Lanka.
Required key qualifications, experience & competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university OR part qualifications in any of the following internationally recognized Professional Accounting/Auditing body: CIA (Certified Internal Audit), ACCA (Association of Certified Charted Accountants), CA (Chartered Accountant) CPA(Certified Public Accountant) CIMA(Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)
Proven experience in Risk Based Auditing
Minimum of 03 years’ experience in auditing at a public accounting or internal/external audit environment
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills in English & Sinhala/Tamil
A team player with good interpersonal skills & cross-cultural sensitivity

Willing to travel extensively as required
Not for Profit/Development sector experience will be an added advantage
