INTERNSHIP –SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT & FINANCE
Location: Based in Colombo AND Outstation dependent on the placement requirements
World Vision Lanka, is currently providing internship opportunities to students to explore career paths in Finance and Accounting in the international relief and development sector. While developing your technical skills and gaining hands-on experience in the given area of work, you have the opportunity to develop your professional network of emerging professionals at one of the largest relief, development and advocacy organizations in the world.
18 –25 years old & eligible to work in Sri Lanka
Able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours a week. Preference will be given for those who can commit full-time Monday to Friday 40 hours a week
Students currently enrolled in a University/College and have completed a minimum of 01 year of study OR graduates who have completed their course of study within the last 02 years preferably pursuing course of study/career in Accounting/Finance, Supply Chain Management & related field
A letter from the University/Professional Accounting Body or Vocational Institute confirming you enrolment/completion of Degree/Course of Study
Fast learner with an aptitude for IT & able to work well in a computerised work environment
Ability to communicate in English, Sinhala and/or Tamil
Adhere to core values of World Vision and its organizational policies & procedures
Willing to travel to field offices if required

Desired Skills & Competencies: Good aptitude for IT, Communication Skills in English & ability to communicate in Sinhala and/or Tamil. Good interpersonal skills with ability to work well in a team
Duration: The internship can last between 03 to 06 months. We ask that all interns commit to at least 24 hours per week; however our preference is for students who can commit to closer to 40 hours per week.
Allowance: Interns will be paid a monthly allowance
