INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES –WORLD VISION LANKA
Location: Based in Colombo AND Outstation dependent on the placement requirements
World Vision Lanka, is currently providing internship opportunities to students to explore career paths in diverse occupational fields in the international relief and development sector. While developing your technical skills and gaining hands-on experience in the given area of work, you have the opportunity to develop your professional network of emerging professionals at one of the largest relief, development and advocacy organizations in the world.
18 year or older & eligible to work in Sri Lanka
Able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours a week
Students currently enrolled in a University/College and have completed a minimum of 01 year of Study OR graduates who completed their course of study within the last 02 years.
Adhere to core values of World Vision and its organizational policies & procedures
Willing to travel to field offices if required
Field of Study: Be enrolled in an appropriate Field of Study relevant to the placement- Preferred areas of study will include (but not limited to) Social Science , Economics/Statistics, Communications, International Development, Public Health, Public Administration/Policy, Education, Psychology/Child Development, Human Resources, Accounting & Finance/Business Administration , Project Management or related disciplines appropriate for the relevant placement.
Desired Skills & Competencies: MS Office, Good Communication Skills in English & ability to communicate in Sinhala and/or Tamil. Good interpersonal skills with ability to work well in a team
Duration: The internship can last between 03 to 06 months. We ask that all interns commit to at least 24 hours per week; however our preference is for students who can commit to closer to 40 hours per week.
Allowance: Interns will be paid a monthly allowance
