Business Partner – Talent Acquisition (Recruitment)
Location – Colombo
Reporting to the Senior Manager People & Culture, the Business Partner Talent Acquisition will provide effective, transparent and legally bound World Vision Lanka (WVL) national staffing services to World Vision Lanka(WVL) hiring managers and client groups, focused on delivering quality ministry to the communities and children WVL seeks to serve & meeting the staffing needs in line with the organisational goals and objectives. This will be accomplished through timely & cost-effective sourcing, screening, assessment and placement of executives, professionals and technical personnel with a special focus on good customer service & quality service delivery to WVL & its internal & external stakeholders.
Staffing Requisition and Planning – Work with the business partners & the hiring managers in planning, recruiting & hiring of staff to meet the staffing requirements of World Vision Lanka(WVL) and its projects/programs in meeting organizational goals & objectives
Candidate Sourcing Screening – Identify & develop effective sourcing strategy & engage with appropriate networks/channels/academic & professional bodies to build a diverse and reliable sourcing pool for current & future employment opportunities of WVL
Design & develop advertisements/job postings in appropriate media/social networks and branding of WVL
Interviewing & Selection - Conduct effective screening, interviewing & assessment of candidates for WVL vacancies in line with organizational policies & procedures
Facilitate & manage staff transfers/internal movements & position changes and related system requirements and documentation
Communication & Reporting – Produce & submit periodic updates/reports to the Management as required
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent field of study
3 – 4 years on the job experience in recruitment and/or Human Resources Management is required
Understand the recruitment processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil
Strong organizational, facilitation, interpersonal and cross cultural skills
Good MS Office skills with hands-on experience in tracking recruitment outcomes/metrics
Strong administrative skills and has an eye for details
Excellent inter-personnel relationship skills with active listening skills
Ability to multi-task & work well in a fast paced work environment with limited supervision & willing to go the extra mile when required
A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
Knowledge of local labour law & related procedures will be an added value
A good team player with ability to work well in a cross-cultural work environment
Experience with large-scale organizational change effort preferred
