INFRASTRUCTURE & NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
Location – Colombo with frequent travel.
The position of IT Infrastructure and Network Administrator position is directly responsible for all core infrastructure systems, data, networks and software functions at World Vision Lanka. The purpose of this position is to improve the new standard of technology infrastructure, through proper management of asset life cycles and project planning.
Furthermore this position requires ensuring effective service delivery through Infrastructure service partners and through self-researches. This role is responsible for providing an excellent level of 3rd line support to the WVL IT team and giving adequate support across the whole of business in Front and Back office functions. The role also requires a high level of research of new products and trends of both hardware and software, which is available in the market to be exploited to the benefit of the organization. This role also requires specific measures to ensure the security, privacy and confidentiality of all WVL’s critical data and strategic initiatives by ensuring all future and current ICT standards are met in an effective and efficient manner.
Provide technical leadership.
Plan resource timing for involvement
Calculate and justify restrictions based on resource requirements
Execute and monitor planned asset life cycle.
Maintain detailed asset life cycle by working through inventory, MTTF (Mean time to failure) and technology requirements
Perform procurement research prior to current generation end of life by obtaining sample tests and builds of next generation technology to create migration plans.
Ensure proper Access control.
Ensure implementation of WV approved globally accepted infrastructure.
Ensure that the industry standard software development life cycle is followed in all solutions.
Continuous monitoring of Hardware & Application servers.
Continuous monitoring of perimeter devices (UTM , Firewall , IPS etc.)
Manage SOC (security operations Centre)
Ensure all backups of systems according to the backup policy.
To Ensure the office is within the standards and policies.
Setup and Administrator the LAN ,Domain , Domino Server according to the Partnership Standards.
Enforce corporate security policies in infrastructure and operations.
Adopt a CISSP (Certified information systems security professional) like approach taking care of each domain your infrastructure touches.
Define and meet system performance SLAs (Service level agreement)
Continuously improve monitoring and response of NOC (network operations Centre)
Knowledge sharing & Documentation.
To increase the knowledge of the technical staff to give a better end user support.
Maintain proper coordination with ISP & other service providers.
Maintain License to meet the legal requirements.
Respond to incidents elevated from IT team.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Professional Qualification in Information technology.
MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer)/ CCNP / Server Administration.
Basics in Internet Firewall implementation and maintenance.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in supporting IT infrastructure or similar capacity,
Good operational knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office suite, SQL Databases, Virus Scanners, and other computer utilities
Knowledge and experience in Mail Server & remote administration
Thorough understanding of Computer hardware and software trouble shooting
Good communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil
Adaptable, flexible, a team player with a knack to influence and build relationships with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Sound experience of Enterprise Firewalls, Network Devices, load balancers, UTM Devices, VoIP PBX solutions, etc.
Experience in working with Cisco Meraki.
Experience in Disaster recovery
Prior experience in Virtualization technology.
LICENSE, REGISTRATION OR CERTIFICATION
Certification in any mail server.
Certificate in virtualization.
