SENIOR MANAGER –CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS & LOCAL FUND-RAISING
This position will provide strategic leadership in developing Corporate Partnerships to help diversify and strengthen WV Sri Lanka’s funding sources to achieve its strategic targets, strengthen its impact and achieve its vision. He/She will provide leadership in the development and implementation of Local fund-raising strategies and public engagement to expand WVL's reach and brand. The position will provide leadership in raising the profile of the WV Lanka as a leading NGO in raising concerns on child focused issues through policy advocacy and communication that will bridge both support offices and communities. It aims to raise the image of WV Lanka as a leading NGO in eradicating poverty in Sri Lanka through collaborative effort with the government and other civil society groups. It will also work hand in hand with field operations to raise awareness in facilitating grassroots campaign against unjust practices and structures.
The Corporate Partnerships group brings together several key support functions, and includes, integrated advocacy ministry, External Relations with Corporates, Government and the Non-Government sector, Communications and Public Relations. As a part of the Corporate Parternships, Innovation & Public Engagement Unit, this position will play a vital role in developinging appropriate strategies & mechanism to enhance the WVL funding portfolio, consistent with WV Lanka, Partnership and Regional Policies, Guidelines and Objectives. The role will provide critical support to the Director – Corporate Partnerships, Innovation & Public Engagement in strengthening his/her ability to engage all stakeholders effectively, and will support all other key ministry areas for effective program implementation and enhance quality of ministry.
Key objectives of the position
1. Provide strategic leadership for corporate partnerships & effective fund-raising stratergy
Corporate Partnerships strategy established within the framework of WV Lanka national strategy.
Contributes to development of WV Lanka policy procedures & business plan.
Corporate Partnership and Local Fund-Raising and able to meet funding needs of the organization.
Reciprocal values developed through innovative projects and activities that are compatible with core business area and thereby enhancing the corporate brand equity of organization.
Donor and partner mapping and updating for strategic engagement and interest/vision aligned with WV Lanka proprieties.
Sustainable and diversified resource growth through new funding and corporate partnership opportunities.
Organizational capacity for effective fundraising and diversified funding streams developed
Innovation and collaboration (internal and external) in developing new projects.
Resource Development & related risks managed and mitigated.
2. Effective stakeholder engagement and donor relations & raise WVL profile as a leading NGO working for the well-being of children through policy & advocacy
Relationships with all existing and potential donors and partners managed and cultivated.
External stakeholders able to articulate WVs mission.
WV Lanka known as key partner and resource person in child focused advocacy program s in Sri Lanka.
Able to be a key partner in developing and publicizing World Vision brand creating awareness and confidence among potential donor.
3. Understanding of and commitment to World Vision’s Core Values demonstrated in the approach to work and relationships.
Preferred Education, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Degree in Business Economics, Development, Non-profit Management or other applicable field; MBA, MPA, MPP, or other graduate education
At least 3 years’working experience in INGOs, NGOs, Bilateral donors etc
Demonstrable prior successes in grant submissions/acquisitions
Experience working with Corporates, government/institutional partners ,potentially gained through a consulting company, international or community development organization or government agency
Project planning and project team leadership
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
Understand WV vision, mission and WV partnership operations
Understand the Humanitarian industry
High critical, creative and innovative thinking;
Developed people in a cross-cultural setting and initiated and implemented organizational change at leadership level.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated commitment to World Vision’s values and philosophy, and capacity to engage with the broader community in living these values
