We are currently looking for dynamic & creative individuals to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT)in our journey of caring.
DIRECTOR – EFFECTIVENESS, EVIDENCE AND IMPACT
Location: To be based in Colombo with travel
This position will provide strategic leadership to develop World Vision Lanka’s (WVL) organizational capability to ensure program effectiveness, produce high quality evidence to demonstrate impact, and enhance influence and inspire a culture of learning while providing leadership to a professional technical team. He/She will be required to ensure high standard of quality ministry in design, monitoring and evaluation, sectoral integration, leading to maximum benefit and impact on the communities whom we serve, whilst ensuring ministry quality objectives remain true to WV’s Vision, Mission and Core values.
As part of the Senior Management Team, the Director, Effectiveness, Evidence and Impact will actively support the National Director in ensuring program quality; while meeting Partnership standards related to quality programming and will work closely with the Field Ministry Operations Team.
Provide strategic leadership in developing and aligning national, regional and partnership strategies with Effectiveness, Evidence & Impact ( EEI )strategy
Provide leadership in ensuring adherence to technical program standards and requirements within WVL
Provide leadership in setting up quality assurance standard and mechanism for quality program design, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on Child Well Being
Create Knowledge Management process & system that equips WVL program practitioners to use reliable evidence for decision making in order to improve program effectiveness
Facilitate Research & Development to develop innovative program approaches contributing to effective decision making to support WVL programmatic priorities
Preferred Education, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Master’s degree in any field with a preferred statistically oriented undergraduate degree (BA Demography, Statistics, Economics or BSc Agricultural Economics).
Knowledge of various technical sectors of development such as food security, primary health care, micro enterprises development, etc
Five or more years field experience with NGO’s in developing countries and working with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems
Good communication & presentation skills in English & the ability to communicate in Sinhala and/or Tamil.
Experience in conducting impact studies including tool design, data analysis, innovative reporting and documenting of best practices for organizational learning.
Good understanding of development theories , current development trends , emergency Policy and procedures and Child sponsorship
Strong statistical skills, with high level competency in the use of MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and knowledge and experience working with statistical software applications including SPSS & related statistical applications
Ability to think strategically and innovatively, constantly pursuing new and better ways of working
Demonstrated commitment to World Vision’s values and philosophy, and capacity to engage with the broader community in living these values
