COORDINATOR- STRATEGY & ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT

Location: To be based in Colombo

Job Profile

Reporting to the Advisor Strategy Management, this position will assist and coordinate the development, monitoring and evaluation of the country strategy of World Vision Lanka(WVL). He/She will be responsible for the reporting function of its implementation and monitoring carried out by the Field Operations and Programme Quality teams. The position will work closely with the heads of departments and zonal operations/PQ teams.

The incumbent is also responsible to coordinate matters pertaining to the Organization’s Enterprise Risk Management function in areas of financial, reputational, operational and external risks to the Organization. (The security risks is not covered under this role)

Key Responsibilities

Coordination of the Strategy Management function

  • Assist in the coordination of the strategy planning, monitoring and evaluations functions.

  • Analyse the external and internal trends and secondary data pertaining to strategy

  • Coordination of all information, data, reports related to the Annual Business Plan preparation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.

  • Multi Year Budgeting and Planning conducted

  • Appropriate updates and reviews conducted on the Country Strategy and the Business Plan for Management for Board and Region

  • Coordinate the Divisional Performance Reviews by working closely with divisions to review their performance.

  • Prepare and maintain dashboards and strategy updates for SMT, board and regional reporting.

Coordinate the Enterprise Risk Management function

  • Prepare and maintain dashboards and strategy updates for Senior Management Team, the WVL Board and regional reporting.

  • Conduct and coordinate risk evaluation along with the Risk Management Committee.

  • Provide state-of-the-art inputs to the Risk Management concepts and procedures for WVL and to contribute to the implementation of these.

  • Develop, update and validate Risk Management Documentation appropriate to all operations for WVL based upon continuous and detailed risk assessments

  • Organize Risk Management training for WVL staff as required.

Preferred Education, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • 3 years of relevant professional experience Business Administration or Bachelor’s degree in risk management, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, or other related fields is desired.  

  • Professional certifications in one of the following Risk Management Professional credentials are required: the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Risk Analyst (CRA), and Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Professional Risk Manager (PRM), PMI-RMP, Management of Risk (M-o-R) Practitioner, C31000, or Chartered Accountancy (e.g. ICAEW, ICASL, CIMA, ACC, CPA and ICAA).

  • Good analytical skills

  • Effective communications skills

  • Proven knowledge of MS office applications, web storage applications and IT literacy

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Sinhala/Tamil
