Zonal Sourcing Officer - Procurement
Locations: Northern Zone with 50% travel
Reporting to the Manager Strategic Sourcing the position is responsible for the delivery and execution of sourcing processes on all requisitions for goods, works and services across all assigned categories ensuring general purchases and supplier relationship are carried out in alignment with World Vision Procurement Policies & budgetary requirements. He/she will evaluate procurement requisitions based on price, service, quality and warranty and other applicable criteria, verify funding & budgetary requirements and ensure timely and effective delivery of procurement services to WVL and its programs .
Skills & Competencies –Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance & related discipline with at least 2 years’experience preferably in a web based procurement environment with good understanding of the local purchasing industry, taxation laws & experience handling modern sourcing solutions & systems, material awareness, specification preparation with good analytical skills & exposure in handling complex contracting processes. Good Communication skills in English and Tamil and/or Sinhala will be preferred.
