  • The Case Worker will be responsible for case management and psychosocial support of vulnerable women, and girls including survivors of gender based violence

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide direct, one-on-one and ongoing case management services, including safety planning, emotional support,

Survivors of GBV provided with case management service

Conduct community assessment to enroll GBV cases into project

Cases of GBV enrolled as targeted

Provide referrals for survivors to other services including child protection and specialized mental health services, accompany survivors where appropriate and conduct follow- up to ensure appropriate services have been provided to the survivor.

Documented, completed referrals

Liaise with all project staff and community cadre for purposes of survivor follow-up as part of case management to individual survivors.

Good relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Complete and maintain case management records to maximize confidentiality and safety

Case management records kept professionally and accessible to staff and donor

Conduct an analysis of trends of GBV incidences and related information on a quarterly basis and present report to the Case Management Coordinator for advocacy and program future program

Prepare and submit timely professional reports that meet internal and donor requirements

Ensure program is evaluated for program effectiveness and strategies are developed to tackle short comings

Plan and deliver interventions of the project on day to day basis towards achievement of set objectives

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

List academic requirements (if applicable), technical skills, or other knowledge required as a minimum qualification for this position.

  1. Bachelor degree in Social work, social sciences, psychology, gender law or related course

  2. Previous experience in case management an advantage

  3. Demonstrated discretion and good judgment

  4. Working with GBV Survivors is an asset

  5. Facilitating group activities experience an asset

  6. Previous training/experience in GBV programming an asset
