Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Job Description

Purpose of the position:

World Vision Swaziland is seeking a DM&E Coordinator to provide DME technical support to the EU grant in alignment to Learning Evaluation and Accountability and Planning (LEAP 3) and National Office Strategy to achieve Child Well Being Outcomes (CWBO). The position seeks to develop monitoring tools, test them and utilize them in the target group.

1.

Carry out quality assessments and provide technical support for all income generation activities and Savings groups.

Ensure that t programs and project baseline, evaluations, annual reports are carried out and integrated into the NO strategy

Grow and maintain the EU database for project beneficiaries and maintain a formulate a visit program for the CBO whilst liaising with development partners for sustainability on line with the transition plan

Prepare and update monitoring tools that will be used in all programmes to ensure alignment to the design documents or project proposals

Attend DME stakeholders meetings both regional level to support new initiatives by both the partnership and stakeholders on M&E. Network and coordinate with all stakeholders at regional level to support new initiatives by both the partnership and stakeholders on M&E

8.

Plan for regular learnings for program to identify lessons through conducting research and reflections and share with the COP and the EU site

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the job training:

  • Bachelor in Community Development or Agribusiness

  • Training in monitoring and evaluation and database management

  • Ability to use Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Access and statistical analytical packages including SPSS and Stata

  • Ability to work to deadlines and attention to detail

  • Previous experience in similar role

  • Previous experience in humanitarian organization setting is added advantage

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field

  • Travel: The job will involve occasional domestic travel and could also involve international travel but this will be uncommon.

  • On call: Job doesnt involve call but may require working after hours.
