Legal Assistant- 3 months contract
To support, coordinate and advise on legal matters affecting the organization to ensure compliance to various statutory requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities.
Coordinate the activities of WVT external legal counsel by arranging for all logistics and communicating key dates to them.
To advise the P&C Coordinator on any legal matters as received.
Review and advise the P&C Coordinator on all legal proceedings affecting the organization.
Liaise with the WVT external legal counsel based on the recommendations of the P&C Coordinator.
Prepare periodic reports on case progress and record dates of new sessions and share them with the P&C Coordinator and the P&C Director.
Prepare exit/handover report for work done.
Keep track of all the legal proceedings affecting WVT and update the P&C Coordinator on all critical dates.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Bachelors degree in law.
Law school or Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum of six months working experience with a reputable law firm.
Must be available to commence work with WVT in one week’s time after the interview.
Demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision.
Position needed urgently.
