About the UPLIFT Project
The UPLIFT Youth Livelihood project is an Urban Youth empowerment project that aims at contributing towards improving the economic wellbeing of vulnerable 5,000 youths aged 16-30 years in Kawempe, Nakawa and Makindye divisions of Kampala district. The Project will run from 2017 to 2022.
Position: Project Manager
Reports to: Livelihoods and Resilience Programme Manager
Purpose of the position:
Responsible for strategic project leadership, external engagement, programme development, reporting and overall project management . Also responsible for continuous project staff capacity building and day today support to project officers and other project staff.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Humanities such as development studies, social &social administration, sociology, education and economics etc with a post graduate diploma in project planning and management. A Masters degree in Project planning and management is an added advantage.
At least three years working experience and knowledge in Youth Livelihood programming in urban context and related technical models.
