Position: Field Coordinator –
Report to: Commodity Officer
Location: Imvepi Refugee Settlement – Arua
Purpose of the position:
To deliver commodities (food) equitably to the hungry households by receiving, distributing, accounting and reporting through the set standards of World Vision International.
Collect, compile and present implementation challenges and submit them to donor meetings at field level in respect to the world vision commodity manual
Prepare and disseminate the distribution plan to staff and beneficiaries in line with the beneficiary list
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual commodity status reports to my supervisor and the donor (Narrative) in line with FPMG and donor requirements.
Review all statistical reports before submission.
Plan and provide training to the staff in commodity management in line with the World Vision commodity manual
Review all commodity documents to identify any mistakes for correction in line with standard operating procedures
Carry out staff appraisal in line with job description
Prepare invoice summaries to WFP for approval and funding in line with WFP/WV approved budget.
Prepare the commodity annual budget in line with the approved project budget
Review cash vouchers in line with World Vision finance manual
Inspect the warehouse and produce a warehouse inspection report in line with WV warehouse manual.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
This position requires a mature candidate, a self-starter, with dedication and ability to work with less or no supervision.
Must demonstrate willingness to learn from others, train others and work as team member.
Prospective candidates should have a minimum of a University degree or equivalent, at least 2 years’ experience in a related field preferably in commodity programming and logistics.
Must have strong leadership and management skills and abilities must also be computer literate with proven skills in Spreadsheets and Word-processing.
