PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position shall provide overall leadership to the financial management and administration of the Program by promoting financial stewardship and accountability in all Program operations.
Will oversee budgeting, audit/risk management and financial reporting functions.
Jobholder will ensure that appropriate financial systems and controls are in place.
Review and/or generate financial reports for compliance with the donor requirements and ensure smooth running of the grant and compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, USAID regulations and WVI finance policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance/Auditing and / or a full professional qualification in A.C.C.A, FCCA, CPA, CA, CIA or CMA.
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in financial and administrative management of large-scale, development assistance programs in diverse geographic locations including managing donor funded sub-contracts/grants.
Demonstrated experience and skills in developing and managing large budgets.
Significant experience with USG financial reporting and compliance requirements.
Proficient in relevant computer applications and databases.
Demonstrated record of integrity in managing grants for donor funded programs is essential.
