PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Partnering is central to World Vision’s strategy to 2030. This is a tremendous opportunity to be part of a dynamic team which will work with World Vision country offices towards a step change in their partnering effectiveness which in turn will lead to significantly greater sustainable impact on child well-being.
Leveraging cutting-edge approaches including the ‘partner of choice’ programme, the role holder will work directly with national offices, to build a holistic capability strengthening plan covering leadership, culture, skills and systems . The role holder will also provide partnership brokering and facilitation support services for specific partnering opportunities. Business sector engagement will be a key focus.
Work with National Directors (and other senior leaders) to prioritise partnering capacity strengthening interventions across the key organisation building blocks of leadership, culture, staff skills and systems. Facilitate assessment and planning workshops, deliver partnering training workshops.
Provision of a range of partnering facilitation, support, and learning/coaching services to national offices and other WV entities. These services will include provision of expert advice or direct facilitation to partnerships at different stages of the partnering management cycle (including new partnering opportunities) and ongoing coaching & training of key staff/leaders.
Provide support to an emerging community of practice of WV leaders and staff engaged in cross-sector partnerships including the development of case studies to capture key learning.
Support the development and implementation of a new monitoring and evaluation framework with which to track progress on partnering performance across national offices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Degree level (Master’s preferred) in relevant field: international development/relations, business administration, public administration, communications,
3+ years of experience in managing or providing strategic brokering support to cross-sector partnerships.
Excellent resource development, facilitation, presentation, and training skills; able to effectively communicate concepts and actions in a clear and persuasive manner.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal across a range of cultures and organizational levels.
Ability to interact and effectively manage relationships with colleagues across cultures and organizations.
Effective in motivating and influencing; leads by example exhibiting integrity, humility and transparency.
Fully Fluent: English. Second language preferred.
5+ years in senior project management roles requiring advanced analytical skills, strategy development and successful implementation of solutions.
Direct field experience in development programming, disaster management, and/or advocacy, preferably in cross-cultural context, Specific technical sector expertise also welcomed.
Professional partnering/brokering qualification (e.g. Partnership Brokers Accreditation Scheme or similar).
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
Ability to work effectively virtually is a key requirement.
