Amplify the impact through grants acquisition and quality management of grant funded programmes. Working across the organisation to ensure the successful management of a portfolio of projects and programmes in compliance with donor requirements and aligned to the implementation of the Policy & Programmes grants strategy. Focussing on the Most Vulnerable Children to facilitate WV's mission of positively impacting child well.
To proactively participate in the creation of a learning culture by seeking learning opportunities, learning from experience & investing in flexible & collaborative working. Ensuring learning is shared & informs future practise of building a cross functional & collaborative environment.
To inform the development of processes & activities that promote & embed innovation to achieve agility through flexible working across teams.
To break business information silos- to increase cooperation and communication across the traditional silos and unlock resources and talent that are currently inaccessible to the rest of the organization.
To deliver work across the business more effectively –to serve global customers, manage relationships that extend outside WVUK, and run integrated business teams, functions and processes.

To adapt to a matrix management model involving direct & dotted line reporting. Developing broader perspectives and skills to deliver value across the business and manage work load in a more complex and interconnected environment.
1.Grant contract management: be lead person on all aspect of grant compliance, ensuring grant management standards (e.g. reporting, procurement, visibility, transfer of assets, audit, etc) are understood and applied by WVUK and National Office (NO) colleagues
2.Financial processes: manage grant financial processes, including co-financing and other match funding requirements, preparation and submission of financial claims, funding commitments, carry forwards, FOREX and other grant financial issues as necessary
3.Financial reporting: manage grant financial reporting, proactively engaging with NO colleagues to ensure reports comply with donor requirements in terms of their presentation and timeliness. Enter income on PARIS via commitments (match and grant) on a rolling basis.
4.Provide technical advice: on grants compliance and financial management by leading on grant compliance, risk, acquisition and grant management on behalf of WVUK. Provide financial management of grant agreements
5. Support for grant applications: support grant applications managed by Programme Grant Officers and colleagues in the wider P&P Group through the development of budgets which meet project and donor requirements, managing donor and NO expectations for co-financing and additional match funding, as well as for recovery of costs.
6.Risk management: manage financial and reputation risk by proactively monitoring grant performance, identifying issues, and working with colleagues to resolve these, minimising the potential for disallowed costs
7.Monitoring trips: visit NOs to monitor and verify grant compliance and financial management and to deliver grant management training. Using the opportunity to meet donors/local partners as necessary. Travel to fragile states and as part of emergency response monitoring trips may be required.
8. Information management: complete and maintain up-to-date grant information on PARIS, especially financial and risk monitoring data
