World Vision is an international children’s charity working with children, their communities, and with supporters and partners, in almost 100 countries.

Through long-term development projects, emergency responses and advocacy we’ve helped bring lasting change to millions of children, over more than 60 years. And as a Christian organisation, everything we do is motivated by our faith as we strive to reflect God’s unconditional love.

Work for World Vision UK and you will be part of a truly global Partnership, building brighter futures for vulnerable children.

Job Purpose

The Health Programmes Adviser helps transform the health and well-being of extremely vulnerable children and their carers through providing high quality technical support to our Maternal, Newborn and Child Health programmes in some of the worlds toughest places. You will support innovative bids for new health project funding and systematically collect evidence of impact from our programmes to improve learning and enlist donors, partners and decision-makers to join our cause. You will be engaged externally for policy influence and support health related advocacy alongside other civil society organisations; disseminate evidence of our programmes to relevant audiences and explore strategic health partnerships. The role requires a highly motivated professional with a public health related degree and experience in designing, monitoring and supporting community-based health programmes in low income countries. You will work closely with our Senior Nutrition Programmes Adviser and other team members in the UK to coordinate the provision of quality technical support and learning. The role requires international travel to support and monitor key projects around twice a year. Due to current restrictions, international travel will not be taking place, however upon changes in government advice, this will be reviewed and could change during this contract. As an active Christian, this role offers you the opportunity to integrate your Christian faith and be sensitive to its various expressions across cultures and denominations.

In addition to the salary offered, we offer good benefits including pension, generous holiday entitlement and free parking (MK).
