Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Advisor – Developing Countries

Salary: £30,763 per annum, depending on experience + good range of benefits

Contract: Permanent – 36.5 hours per week

Based: Milton Keynes

World Vision UK is seeking a MEAL Adviser with a passion for quality and experience of developing MEAL strategies and systems within a development context.

In this key position, you will support the Evidence and Learning Unit to ensure quality of WVUK programmes with a view to improve impact; contributing to a robust evidence base, through monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning support to designated programmes and field offices. You will be well versed in the challenges facing developing countries and knowledgeable regarding the quality and impact agenda. We are looking for someone with real drive and determination to:

  • support grants/projects in WVUK priority countries evidence impact of real change for children, especially the most vulnerable children.

  • support grant acquisition, design of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) frameworks, baseline and evaluation.

  • be responsible for ensuring development and operationalization of high-quality MEAL systems and reporting on designated WVUK programmes/projects.

  • ensure that WVUK priority countries incorporate best practices to ensure information collected is accurate, timely and disseminated appropriately.

  • actively involved in promoting learning through documentation of lessons learned and developing approaches for using data to make decisions.
