PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position has a significant impact by managing content planning, creation and curation for World Vision’s global fundraising platform, telling the amazing stories of children and their communities lifted up out of poverty in some of the world’s toughest places. This role drives content effectiveness through a deep understanding of donor and market insights, and continually testing and optimising content based on business objectives. Engaged in the most relevant critical issues of our day, in the time it takes to read this sentence, World Vision will have reached 50 new people with needed knowledge, supplies or resources to help them protect themselves and their families from the devastating effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

The major responsibilities of the role include:
Curation, development and delivery of content that generates the expected marketing results.
Identify and lead content requirements and create a content marketing strategy based on key metrics and target audiences.
Identify and lead content requirements and create content deliverables across for the fundraising platform.
In partnership with marketers, digital experts and communicators across the globe, create compelling messages and stories, marketing copy, articles and all forms of content.
Develop and optimise content based on donor and market insights and ongoing testing and measuring and optimising.
Partner with marketers, digital experts and communicators across the globe to curate and develop the most effective content and stories.
Creation and management of strategic content calendar.
Create and maintain calendar of content needs and publishing schedule across all audience groups and mediums (video, written, audio, infographic etc.) as directed by our global strategy.
Plan quarterly content needs, develop appropriate work plans.
Develop, monitor, adapt, and communicate content calendar and other content needs to ensure content is delivered on time and on budget.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
Proven work experience in Content Planning, Creation, Copy Writing or similar role.
Proven success driving marketing results through optimised digital content.
Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. Umbraco).
Excellent writing and editing skills in English, preferably in addition to a second language such as Spanish, French or German.
Extensive experience developing SEO content that delivers on the business objectives.
University degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or relevant field.
