All US-based interns are paid a monthly stipend of $250


Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (20-40 hours/week)


Internships will be based in Monrovia, CA.


  • All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week

  • Eligible to work in the United States (US Citizen/resident or F1-student visa)

  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate/graduate program (within 2 years)

  • Adhere to the Christian Statement of Faith required by all World Vision International employees

FALL 2017 INTERNSHIPS (Monrovia, CA)

Digital Health Intern:

Eligible Candidates: Current undergraduate or graduate student or completed graduate program.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Public Health, Communications, Social Science, International Development, Public Administration/Policy.

OBJECTIVE: Undertake research, assessments, analysis and writing and project/meeting and general knowledge management for digital health (mHealth) that will build the WV knowledge base, resources available to implementing offices and the publication of the 2016 WV Global mHealth Report.

Research and project management of the development and publications process to produce the WV Global mHealth Report based on FY17 operations. Collaborate to develop framework and tools for case study documentation as part of this report. Create content for this WV Global mHealth Report as follows:

  • Gather current status, data, documentation of existing and upcoming mHealth projects, and perform specific analysis of this data and draft explanatory narrative to accompany.

  • Create strategic national ecosystem summaries of the current state and opportunities for growth in scaling digital health within specific countries.

  • Draft case study (ies) to showcase evidence base for selected countries as appropriate.

Expand and refine content for digital health (mHealth) toolkits, guidance documents and M&E.

Support related knowledge management activities including:

  • Integrate new and/or refined documentation into WV mHealth Interest Group Intranet Site.

  • Support preparation, organization and execution of mHealth Interest Group Meetings

  • Collate information and prepare ICT4D mass mailing newsletter on the MailChimp platform on a 4-6 weekly basis.

Enterprise Risk Management Intern:

Eligible Candidates: Current college student or recent college graduate.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Communications, Business, International Relations, Social Science, Psychology, Technology.

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team helps facilitate a process by which management at all levels of the organisation (from field level up through global management) think about what might be coming around the corner that will hinder them from reaching their strategic objectives. Our new software tool will help automate the process by which we collect risk data from around the world and help us process and analyze the data.

Intern will assist with:

  • Updating and revising a multi-tiered risk classification system for inclusion in our new software tool (risk management knowledge isn't a prerequisite, but critical thinking skills are essential!)

  • Adapting and configuring a new risk management software tool for use by World Vision offices around the globe, including user testing, developing training materials, and assessing ease of use.

  • Support ad hoc projects and analysis related to risk management.

Global Supply Chain Management Intern:

Eligible Candidates: Current college student, recent college graduate or current graduate student/completed graduate program.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Finance.

World Vision's GSCM team is dedicated to ensuring that World Vision’s programmes and responses around the world get the goods and services they need when needed, where needed and at the right price. The supply chain team manages thousands of suppliers, hundreds of purchasers and a complex logistics network.

  • Implement new Contract Management System for Global Procurement within Coupa (cloud-based procurement and supply chain software).

  • Design numbering system for tracking and reviewing purposes.

  • Create purchase orders in collaboration with suppliers.

  • Liaise with National and Regional Offices to receive contracts.

  • Develop monitoring system for contracts and renewals.

Governance Intern:

Eligible Candidates: Current college student or recent college graduate.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Business Administration, International Development, Political Science, Public Administration/Policy, Spanish.

The Governance Department is actively working with National Offices and their boards to support their oversight structures and decision making. The intern will:

  • Utilize writing and creativity to develop a variety of resources such as short e-learning courses, case studies and other templates and tools that will be used by board members world-wide for training and development. Intern will analyze existing resources to develop materials. Ability to create graphics and presentation visuals and learn new software programs is beneficial.

  • Review and analysis of existing governance resources to contribute to a comprehensive online resource library and an archival version that will be available to boards and National Office staff worldwide.

  • Assist with correspondence with National Office board contacts to research and collect board information, including member composition, meetings documents and evidence of performance.

  • Develop of useful presentations and other resources for department.

  • *Spanish language skills are desirable as many of the resources are created for the Latin American National Offices, however this is not mandatory.

Talent Acquisition Intern, People & Culture (HR):

Eligible Candidates: Recent college graduate, graduate student/completed graduate program.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Communications, Organisational Development, Psychology, Human Resources, Business, English/Writing, International Studies.

World Vision's Talent Acquisition department is seeking an intern for this fall to help us with a project designed to strengthen and greatly expand our Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs (HEA) talent pipeline. We need to be prepared to staff up to 8 Category III emergencies (man-made or natural disasters that impact over one million people) simultaneously across the globe. To be able to respond to multiple emergencies effectively; we need to grow our on-call roster of emergency and relief development professionals. The person in this role would help with the expansion of the pipeline through the sourcing, screening, knowledge management and cataloguing of HEA talent worldwide. This person can, in a very tangible way, assist World Vision in saving lives.

Learning and Development Intern, Global Information & Technology:

Eligible Candidates: Recent college graduate, graduate student/completed graduate program.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Communications, Organisational Development, Psychology, English, Creative/Business Writing, Spanish.

The World Vision Global IT Culture, Learning and Communications Team is responsible for creating a unified culture, engaging employees, equipping managers with skills to lead change and develop their teams, and providing learning opportunities which create a culture of competence, domain expertise and thought leadership in the field of Global IT.

Intern responsibilities include:

  • Provide learning and development administration - programming courses, reporting and assisting in Virtual Instructor Led training & promotion.

  • Assist in instructional design and development of e-learning modules.

  • Assist in developing bi-monthly newsletters - edit articles, format for PDF, email and web based format.

  • Assist in cultural development program and planning to increase employee engagement.

Global Real Estate Intern:

Eligible Candidates: Current college student or recent college graduate.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Business Administration, Communications, Real Estate, Finance.

The Global Real Estate, Corporate Services and Facilities (GRE/CSF) team supports initiatives for "building better communities for children" around the world. Our departments function is in the area of global real estate and administrative service support (Corporate Services/Facilities) for offices located in Manila, Kuala Lumpur, London, Geneva, Los Angeles, NYC, Seattle, and Washington DC.

Intern will:

  • Assist with updating and maintaining the Global Real Estate (GRE) database and applications for input/output of relevant information (building location, sq. footage, occupancy, lease information, etc.).

  • Communicating with staff across our global offices in order to share best practices and gather information for reporting purposes.

  • Research processes, concepts and trends in the real estate industry while contributing to the development of global standards and best practices.

  • Looking for someone with proficiency in working with database applications, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good judgement and teamwork. AutoCAD preferred but not necessary.

Digital Content Intern, Global Communications:

Eligible Candidates: Current college student or recent college graduate.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Communications, Journalism, Media, Photography/Videography, Content Curation & Management.

World Vision's Content Team is responsible for the storage of over 300,000 valuable digital assets. These assets are the photos, videos and stories that fuel marketing, advocacy and communications across the global World Vision Partnership.

Intern responsibilities will include:

  • Curating content in order to refine the quality of content offered in our internal systems.

  • Improving the Digital Asset Management system to better meet user needs.

  • Applying industry best-practices to our library metadata and tagging practices.

  • Assist with training staff on new technologies and digital content systems.
