FALL 2017 WORLD VISION INTERNSHIPS (New York City)

World Vision Internships provide a three-month opportunity for exceptional students and recent graduates ready to explore a career in the international relief and development sector. We are committed to providing interns with a meaningful learning experience where you are able to learn, grow and connect alongside other emerging professionals who are passionate about our mission.

DETAILS & ELIGIBILITY

Dates:

September 18 - December 15, 2017

Stipend:

All US-based interns are paid a monthly stipend of $250

Hours:

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (20-40 hours/week)

Location:

Internships will be based in New York City

Eligibility:

  • All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week

  • Eligible to work in the United States (US Citizen/resident or F1-student visa)

  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate/graduate program (within 2 years)

  • Adhere to the Christian Statement of Faith required by all World Vision International employees.

FALL 2017 INTERNSHIPS (NEW YORK, NY)

Global Campaigns Intern, Advocacy and External Engagement.

Eligible Candidates: Graduate student/completed graduate program.

Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Communications/Media, Public Administration, International Development, Politics/Government, Marketing.

World Vision’s campaign, It takes a world to end violence against children, aims to catalyse a global movement of people committed to keeping children safe from harm.

Intern will be supporting the Global Campaigns Team in the following ways:

  • Support the preparation and execution of global moments for WVI's campaign: It takes a world to end violence against children (i.e. Universal Children’s Day in November).

  • Support the planning process and development of central resources to Support Offices (includes working with stakeholders, partners and agencies).

  • Collating the plans and information coming from the participating offices.

  • Supporting a select number of offices with their planning and application.

  • Support the logistics for any high level NY-based event – i.e. our engagement at this year's UN General Assembly.

  • Support the team’s engagement with World Vision’s fundraising offices (Support Offices).

  • Coordinate the logistics for two related working groups for the campaign.

  • Tracking key activities for these offices, liaising with key teams for updates (will include running a product review).

  • Mapping the relationship between these offices and field offices.

  • Adapt and curate core content for offices to use.
