Coordinator, Leadership & Executive Development

*Preferred Locations: Monrovia, CA or London. Position location to be determined by home country of successful candidate within a jurisdiction (country or US State) where WVI is registered to operate.


The development of a cadre of strong global leaders has been identified as key strategic priority for World Vision in this season. To that end, this role will focus on helping to analyse leader data and collaborate and consult with Leadership Development and Talent Management leads, maintain and manage learning platform content and coordinate the activities of the team as they prepare leaders to effectively meet current and future demands of a dynamic Partnership strategic.

While serving as a role model for excellence in practice, this role focuses on achieving that goal through execution in the following key areas:

Support WV Leadership Development:

  • Serve as a role model in practice while focusing on coordination and support, of the following leadership development programmes:

  • Senior Leadership Development Programme

  • Global Leadership Development Programme

  • Situational Leadership II

  • Management Essentials

  • Executive Presentation Skills

  • Insights Discovery

  • ExecOnline

  • WV Leadership Academy

  • Leading in a Global Faith Context (Christian Leadership)

  • 360 Degree Reports

  • Decker Digital

  • Use instructional design and e-learning knowledge and experience to manage and maintain LED’s online presence and e-learning sites (includes but not limited to: making suggestions and decisions as to content, distribution, updates and platforms).

  • Based on industry knowledge, expertise and adult learning practices, keep web based information and e-learning opportunities in line with WV Strategy and LED focus, with the intention of advancing the overall mission and values of the People and Culture team.

  • Form consultative relationships with stakeholders and leaders in the organization to recommend most impactful set of tools and resources to use for people development.

Data Analysis:

  • Manage leader data for participants in programmes and use of tools.

  • Serve as conduit and connector with other P&C teams such as Talent Management and Capacity Building to ensure information regarding people participation in LED programmes and use of tools is shared and used to drive people development effectively.

  • Based on assessment of data, make recommendations for participation in programmes and use of development tools.

  • Collect and collate survey data and analysis from LED programmes and tool usage, and draw conclusions based on participant information in order to make recommendations for next development steps.

  • Run, coordinate, assess and make recommendations around Programme Effectiveness analysis in conjunction with Solutions Center Team.

Leverage Networks for Leadership & Executive Development:

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, developments and best practice.

  • Develop network of relationships to enhance existing programmes, generate ideas, enhance resources, facilitate innovation and applied learning.



  • Accredited Degree in one or more of the following; Business Management, Education/Professional Education and Training; HR/Human Resource Development; Organizational Development; Communications/Interpersonal Communications.

  • Professional expertise preferably with experience in Leadership Development (Learning & Development), coordination and support of global programme design and delivery.

  • Deep understanding of organizational infrastructure, leadership development practice, challenges, trends and best practice within.

  • Instructional design experience and digital savviness.

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, across various levels, and capacity to adapt effectively across multiple cultures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, both oral and written, and ability to convey information effectively, write persuasively in a variety of styles for a variety of audiences, and communicate cross-culturally and within inter-faith settings.

  • Able to develop and maintain professional relationships (internally and externally) at high level.

  • Successfully held roles with responsibility for instructional design and programme maintenance, specifically in the learning and development area.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience providing support and coordination to teams preferably around global programmes or meetings.

  • Strong experience working with web based learning platforms.

  • Proven collaborator coupled with experience in team support and coordination.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively across cultures and all levels of the organization.

  • Deep understanding and expertise in adult learning and development and organisational application of learning.

  • Strong experience organizing and coordinating workshop and conference logistics.

  • High capacity in communication and organization skills.

  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English (additional languages desirable).


  • Humility to be led by others, strength and confidence to provide strong leadership when required; wisdom to recognise when each is needed and the ability to help others do the same.

  • Knowledge and passion for adult learning theory and practice.

  • Proven track record of organizing and coordinating groups of individuals.

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Willingness to recognize what needs to be done and take initiative to follow-through.

  • Client relationship skills, customer service orientation and ministry mindset.

  • Clear and positive Christian faith commitment and capacity to provide leadership and guidance in this area, and to ensure WV’s Christian Identity is woven into the work delivered.

  • Willingness, capability and flexibility to travel internationally if needed.

  • Other operating languages will be a bonus e.g. French or Spanish.

Work Environment:

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

  • Capacity to work virtually requiring flexibility in working hours over the range of WV time zones.
