Manager, Strategic Capabilities Development

Job Description

*Position location to be determined by home country of successful candidate where WVI is registered to operate.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Manager, Strategic Capabilities Development will be responsible for managing and implementing learning, training and capability development platforms to build capabilities and drive scaling across all National Offices (Support and Field) to advance the Ministry Funding Priorities. This includes managing brand-building capabilities. This includes managing and implementing the Fundraising Centre, the related Knowledge Centres and eNewsletter, and the Fundraising Academy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and implement a Partnership-wide plan for developing brand-building capabilities for activating the brand framework (and all associated aspects of it, such as visual identity). This includes managing and implementing, with other GC departments, internal communications to align the organization and build brand knowledge. Assure all offices have active brand delivery.

  • Manage and implement the GRD lead training and capability development platforms to build capabilities and drive scaling. This includes managing and implementing the Fundraising Centre, the related Knowledge Centres and eNewsletter.

  • Manage and implement the Fundraising Academy, as a key platform for building capabilities required for the Ministry Funding Priorities.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required:

  • A solid background in developing and implement branding and marketing programs and campaigns, witnessed demonstrable track record of success.

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications.

  • Experience in developing and managing high-value digital content that drives usage.

  • Proven track record of building marketing tools and new marketing capabilities for a variety of audiences and users.

  • Experience in developing and implementing a brand which includes working with experts and stakeholder, and developing, implementing and analyzing marketing campaigns.

  • 5 to 7 years at senior level in marketing and communications with extensive experience with brand and digital content creation.

  • Experience in the development of digital content.

  • Experience in developing digital and social media campaigns and messaging.

Preferred:

  • Strong skills in writing and communicating, especially to a marketing audience.

  • Ability to create accessible digital content and technical guidelines dealing with messaging, creative and behaviour.

  • Experience working and leading or managing projects in a decentralised organisation.

Work Environment:

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
