Business Partner - People & Culture
POSITION: BUSINESS PARTNER – PEOPLE & CULTURE
LOCATION: NATIONAL OFFICE
Purpose of the position: To provide the day-to-day HR Business Partnering support to World Vision Zambia through providing support to Operations on all People and Culture issues affecting staff in the Southern Region. These shall include staff care and employee wellness issues, recruitment, Grievance and Disciplinary handling, management of staff data in Our people System, remuneration and benefits management, talent management and coordinating and capacity initiatives proposed by the senior leadership team to build capacity of front line staff. The position holder shall work closely with the specific Functional P & C Officers to ensure the above stated issues affect staff in the Southern Region are resolved promptly and in an amicable manner.
Working with the Recruitment officer, ensure that all vacancies in your region are filled up promptly and on time
Provide P & C Business support services to all the APs in your region and ensure all issues are handled timeously and conclusively. These shall include but not limited to staff care issues, compensation and benefits, contract renewals, training interventions and Our People Systems support issues.
Ensure preparation of skills profiling register and ensure implementation of training and development of staff your region in accordance with identified training needs.
Implement performance management review system and ensure staff all staff in your region have performance agreements in place and that performance reviews and discussions take place between Supervisors and staff
Ensure that staff records for employees in your region are maintained properly and updated with all staff events and activities
Ensure that staff employment practices, compensation, and benefits comply with WVZ policies and local labour laws
Ensure all staff in your region have updated Job Descriptions on file
Facilitate job evaluation exercises and implement recommended job grades and salary structure for staff in your region
Handle all staff grievances and the disciplinary issues in collaboration with line managers timeously and promptly for staff in your region
Qualifications, Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource/ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Public Administration, or Diploma in Human Resources Management with working Experience of not less than 2 years at similar level.
Member of the Institute of Human Resources Management
Minimum of 2 years of experience

Working Environment / Conditions:
Work environment: Office-based and visit to the field from time to time
80% office work
20% with stake holders and at the APs
