MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER – ZAMBIA EDUCATION EVERY LAST ONE (ZEELO)
POSITION: ONE (1), LOCATION: LUSAKA
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To assist the Area Programme (AP) Teams and ZEELO staff to setup and implement a comprehensive participatory project monitoring and evaluation system that will facilitate effective planning, implementation, performance monitoring, evaluation and accountability of all ZEELO Project -supported activities that contribute to ZEELO grant and child well- being outcomes.
Ensure proper documentation and security (both manual and electronic) of key Project documents, Support and assist in the printing and distribution of the Youth Ready Materials
Assist Area Programme Teams to closely work with the M & E specialists for other Technical programs to develop and implement an LEAP-aligned plan for the ZEELO Project and measuring project performance. LEAP aligned documents and logframes prepared and submitted to Support Office for approval
Assist the Area Programme and partners to harmonize planning and collection of monitoring data required for different systems to minimize wasteful duplication of efforts and carrying out field monitoring of Project’s components.
Assist the Area Programme team to setup a fully functional database Management Information System (MIS) that will be used to plan and monitor the progress of savings group data for ZEELO Project.
Assist Area Programme teams/Partners to conduct quarterly, semi and annual review meetings to discuss ZEELO Project performance against targets for all activities, explaining any performance variances, identifying and addressing implementation challenges, documenting lessons learned and most-significant success stories and, generating consensus on targets for the next month.
Work with the Area Programme teams, ZCCB, GBVSS, OSCs and other partners in ensuring the girls who are survivors or at risk of GBV are well protected and are safe.
Ensure the project baselines, evaluations are done and setting up of benchmarks for the ZEELO project to track progress for impact assessment.
QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Degree in Social sciences s or any related fields
M & E training course, Project Management for Development
Able to think logically and systematically and have good organizational skills
Project Management, analytical, problem solving, negotiation and decision making skills with training in statistics and or experience in statistical analysis
At least two years hands on experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs, preferably related to community based rural development work.
Extensive hands on experience in development work - rural development, report writing and community facilitation.
Experience in using Microsoft Office (word, Access, Excel.
Experience in using database and statistical software such as Epi lnfo, SPSS, etc.
Excellent skill in report writing and project proposal writing.
Knowledgeable in Savings group and methodologies critical
Experience in working with adolescents
Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining positive attitude
Have a good understanding of WV core values
Working Environment / Conditions:
Work environment: 30% Field based, 70% Office work
Travel: Local travel and as need arise international
