A: Building relationships, broker and facilitator within HHs/Village communities & Local partners
Communicate effectively World Vision’s identity, mission, vision, values and our approach to coordinate and facilitate development processes effectively towards the well-being of the children in the communities.
Build strong and diverse relationships within HHs/ village communities and partner communities, actively learning and understanding their realities.
Enable and facilitate HHs/community organization to network and connect with relevant stakeholders and partners in an integrated and efficient manner.
Contextualize Churches’ role in Transformational Development in different communities - Identify and act on capacity gaps.
B: Donor relations effectiveness
Clearly understand the donor/community environment and be an effective facilitator of interventions or innovations that involve both parties.
Foster productive dialogue/engagement between visiting donors and communities/Household (HHs) in line with communications protocols.
C. Build Community & Partners capacity
Build community capacity in networking and partnership building
Build Community and partner capacity in the following areas:
Resource mobilization and management at the community level, including subgranting.
Communications, marketing & sponsorship.
Kingdom values and leadership
Technical program skills, including leap processes and DME.
Prioritizing projects, project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting processes relevant to assigned areas
Be a promoter of/trainer in – community/village based IT/ICT innovations for program effectiveness.
D: Program planning and implementation
Raise awareness and facilitate critical analysis of community issues and opportunities.
Facilitate visioning and planning processes with community members – especially the most vulnerable, and within community based groups.
Assist with community level DME for the prioritized projects. Identify technical project and program needs at appropriate times through the lifespan of the programme.
Assist stakeholders and community partners to identify and mobilize community resources needed for project implementation.
E. Sponsorship Facilitation
Work closely with the program team leader, sponsorship operations staff, sponsorship volunteers, registered children, their parents and village community organization& local partners.
Facilitate community organization ( i.e Parents/Teachers Association ) understanding of how to be active promoters of sponsorship and its possible development impacts.
Facilitate village community-led selection of registered children.
Follow up on sponsorship KPIs & enable village community organization to gradually understand what aspect of sponsorship to be managed by them.
Enable village community organizations in championing child rights/protection.
F: Personal development and transformation
Grow in spiritual maturity and understanding and practice of incarnation ministry.
Develop strong understanding of local politics and how it affects development processes.
Be flexible and adaptable - the development facilitator is expected to progress in his/her growth and transformation as civil society groups and organizations also grow and become stronger.
