Title: Education Programme Facilitator

Reports to: AP Manager

Location: Mbire AP

Purpose of the Position:

Facilitate the implementation and monitoring of all education activities under the Mbire Area program in the wards of operation according to World Vision standards and guidelines

Major Responsibilities:

  • Day to day monitoring of all Education and Life skills (EdLs) activities

  • Conduct community mobilization and Sensitisation on the EdLs Technical project.

  • Conduct trainings to targeted communities on models used in the EdLs Technical project

  • Perform administrative work such as data entry, documentation and filing reports.

  • Raise awareness on child protection and gender issues within the community through daily monitoring and Sensitisation activities.

  • Provide support of the activities carried out in the different models used in the EdLs Technical project.

  • Report on EdLs activities, feeding into overall M&E processes through data collection, narrative reporting and MSC story collection, including photographs

  • Develop the capacities of the local communities for sustainable development of the EdLs Technical project.

  • Assess potential and possible intervention areas in EdLs programming

  • Assist communities in identification, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project activities

  • Facilitate monthly operational plans that includes activities as agreed with the AP Manager

  • Facilitate implementation of approved annual plans

  • Timely submission of monthly reports.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma in Education or any equivalent.

  • At least two-year experience in community development work.

  • Knowledge of teaching and learning methodologies, educational system, national curricula, etc. Actual teaching experience will be highly valued

  • Computer literacy in Lotus Notes, Word and Excel packages is desirable.

  • Project management skills: activities planning and reports especially educational

  • Willingness to stay most of the working times in the posted rural/remote area.
