Position: Nutrition Specialist – ENTERPRIZE Consortium
Purpose of position:
To provide technical support to districts teams in planning and implementation of the nutrition components of the project. S/He will liaise with Provincial and District MoHCC and other relevant stakeholders on technical matters relating to alignment with national guidelines and coordination of activities. Monitors and supervisors field implementation of the nutrition component and provide feedback to implementing teams on improving quality and conformity to nutrition guidelines. Ensuring the nutrition report of the project is meeting the expected technical standard.
Ensures planning and implementation of the nutrition component is line with national policies and work with MoHCC counterparts for better coordination and integration of activities.
Offer technical guidance to the field team to ensure optimal integration with livelihoods components at district level.
Work closely with implementing partners to ensure integration with other programme components.
Liaise with relevant government departments, and other organisations, to ensure that all programming models including caregroup confirm to the National policy Framework.
Establish partnerships with other players in nutrition and related programmes at provincial/district level.
Ensure formation of community care groups for promotion and adoption of positive health and nutrition seeking behaviours is consistent with MoHCC guideline and coordinated with existing MoHCC cadres.
Knowledge and Skills:
Degree in Nutrition
3 years’ experience in community development specifically on nutrition program implementation.
Project management, technical support and an in-depth knowledge of coaching and mentorship is essential.
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to network closely with stakeholders and NGOs involved in health activities
Clean Class 4 Driver’s license.
