Market Development Coordinator

Job Description

JOB TITLE: MARKET DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (Bindura)

(Contract Duration: 6 months)

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for market development activities, stakeholder engagement and management in province of operation.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Identify market opportunities and relevant market actors and assess potential for partnering

  • Support business model development and innovation for the provincial level actors.

  • Monitor the performance of all Grantees and maintain a close relationship with them.

  • Developing and strengthening of existing coordination structures.

  • Coordinate linkages between national/provincial level companies and community based market actors

  • Link and coordinate market development activities and APN activities at provincial level.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, or any other related field

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in markets development

  • Proven management experience with evidence of effective decision making, and critical focus on the delivery of agreed results to expected standards within time;

  • Experience in development of smallholder agricultural market systems in Zimbabwe.

  • Proven experience in people management, change management, risk management, and strategic planning.

  • Class 4 driver’s license.
