Title: Accountability, Monitoring and Evaluation Facilitator x 2

Reports to: Accountability, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Purpose of the Position: Operationalising accountability and monitoring functions in the assigned district. This position functions to integrate field level operations of monitoring and accountability, including enumeration and data entry in accordance with the project monitoring framework.

Major Responsibilities:

Accountability, Monitoring and Evaluation

Monitor project implementation at district level by use of qualitative, quantitative and participatory approaches in data collection.

  • Develop monthly work plans in liaison with the M&E specialist

  • Prepare weekly informative field reports, identify shortcomings and make relevant recommendations

  • Conduct process monitoring of project activities and provide feedback on monitoring findings to partners and programme teams for improvement in programme quality

  • Participate in the project’s performance monitoring through progress monitoring of care groups, farmer groups and ISAL groups

  • Support ward based monitoring reviews, annual assessments and surveys as per programme schedule.

  • Maintain functional complaints and response mechanisms and follow up on complaints received and respond in a timely manner.

  • Provide inputs to quarterly project reports and publications as required

  • Collect and consolidate case studies and success stories as part of programme documentation.

  • Produce summarized monthly accountability reports on the feedback and complaints from the project beneficiaries including compilation of quarterly accountability reports

Database Support

  • Updating the database monthly according to the project requirements. This will include assisting with farmer verifications and monthly data collection of farmer trainings.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences or Statistics.

  • Working knowledge of MS office and statistical packages (SPSS, CS-Pro, Epi-Info and Excel, mobile data collection packages).

  • Appreciation of gender,nutrition,market development and ICT will be advantage

  • 2 Years experience in monitoring and evaluation.
