Please accept my sincere congratulations as you begin your new assignment with World Vision International.
As you will already be aware, World Vision is a global enterprise working in close to 100 countries. We call it a 'Partnership', to refer to the working relationship between the different World Vision offices and entities around the world. We share together the ministry of bringing the good news of God's love to all people, and especially to children.
As you move into this new position, may I remind you of two of the most important things about World Vision: the standard of our work and the quality of our relationships.
World Vision tries to do things well - not extravagantly or boastfully - but at the highest standard. God and the poor deserve our very best. We do not compromise our standards.
Even more important are our relationships with each other and with those we serve. We seek to value and care about people.
I hope that this has been and will continue to be your experience as you make your own unique contribution to our ministry. My desire is that all our staff will know the pleasure of work well done and the joy of serving others through this organisation.
We are glad that you are part of our team!
